History at TCC
THE STORY BEHIND THE MAGIC
In 2013, co-founders Jonathan Zalaski and Alison Reed began a performing arts program in Terryville, CT: the first of its kind, making Theatre at TCC Terryville's first and only community theatre. Since then, Theatre at TCC remains a fixture of the Terryville Congregational Church, and a thriving production company amongst many in Connecticut's northwest corner.
Jonathan Zalaski
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, CO-FOUNDER
Jonathan is an actor, singer, dancer, and director with twenty years of experience on stage. He frequently works with the Warner Stage Company, Landmark Community Theatre, Goshen Players, and has even made a few appearances Off-Broadway. Jonathan's directorial work includes projects with Landmark Teen Theatre, Terryville Drama, and of course: Theatre at TCC. At the age of sixteen, Jonathan began collaborating with Alison Reed to bring the arts to Terryville, CT. He is currently a student at Marymount Manhattan College of New York, NY where he is earning his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. It is at Marymount where Jonathan learns from and works with industry professionals, allowing him to shape, create, and inspire the future of Theatre at TCC.

Alison's introduction to the theatre fully began with the discovery of Theatre at TCC. Noticing a definitive need for an artistic outlet for many of our community's youth, Alison fully-embraced the Connecticut theatre scene and started on a mission of bringing culture, artistic opportunity, and new entertainment to the town of Terryville. With Theatre at TCC growing beyond her initial vision, eleven full-scale productions later, Alison is no longer a stranger to the stage.
OUR JOURNEY IN THE ARTS
With modest roots as a theatre workshop for children in Terryville, Theatre at TCC has since blossomed into the community theatre it is today. After establishing ourselves as Terryville's first and only community performing arts group, we have proudly produced family-friendly plays and musicals for all to enjoy, drawing participants from all over Connecticut and entertaining thousands. Our success is a testament to our patrons, our volunteers, and dedicated staff. We hope to see you soon so you can also experience Theatre at TCC and become part of our journey in the arts.
